Astro Max is Freefly’s compact industrial drone platform! 

Freefly understands the need for quality tools. For more than 10 years Freefly aircraft have carried cinema cameras for Hollywood and high-end productions around the world. It carries valuable payloads in high-pressure situations. We also understand the need for flexibility. Astro’s interface specs are open, making it a flexible and reliable tool to get your new ideas in the air.

Each Astro Max includes the basics of your drone kit, ready to mount a variety of payloads: 

Astro Max Drone

• Ships in Astro Compact Travel Case with pre-installed: Astro Isolator, folding landing gear, and high efficiency props
• Simple tools, proptectors, and some spare bits
• Ships with Standard Remote ID enabled**
• Not NDAA approved

Freefly Pilot Pro controller

• Has internal battery and options for external power
• Robust 2.4ghz radio (non NDAA approved)
• Ships inside Astro Compact Travel Case

Compact Travel Case

• Fits Astro (folded), 1 pair of batteries/chargers and the LR1 Payload
• Telescoping handle and fixed wheels

Notes

• Pilot skill with Manual Mode is required for Emergency Procedures.
• This Astro Max ships with high efficiency props (marked with "2270 CW" or "2270 CCW". Do not mix standard props marked with "2170" with high efficiency props. 
• Astro uses two Freefly SL8-Air batteries per flight (not included in this kit). We recommend 4 SL8 batteries and 2 SL8 Fast Chargers to get flying.
• Works with RTK GPS Ground Station, through a user-supplied ground station computer (optional)
• LTE modem works in the United States only.
